 Announcements

  • On January 16th, at the rise of meeting, there will be a special forum hosted by Kate DeRiel, clerk of the PYM Indian Committee.  She will show a film on the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.  A discussion will follow.

Events
  • January 2011 - On January 1, 2011 Adam Forrer and Laura Leh were wed at Reading Monthly Meeting.  It was the first wedding at the meetinghouse in eight years, and it was a beautiful event!  See a few pictures.
  • December 2010 - On December 29th, some Friends (Ken and Jane Cook, Trine Liv Weyman, Heather Ehrlich, and John Rivera) paid a visit to Curtis and Charmoine Jones at their home.  Don't they look wonderful?  Scenes from the visit.
  • December 2010 - The annual "Christmas Tea" was held on December 26th this year.  See the slideshow.
  • July 2010 - On July 18th Reading Meeting had a table at the Reading Pride Celebration at Center Park in Reading.  See the slideshow.
  • June 2010 - Reading Meeting’s First Day School Annual Picnic was held at the Bohnes’ on June 13th.  See the slideshow.
  • April 2010 - A dedicated crew celebrated spring by cleaning up the meetinghouse grounds.  See them work.
  • January 2010 - The Worship and Ministry Committee sent an email message to the publishers of Friends Journal this month.  It was prepared by the members of the committee at the request of Reading Monthly Meeting (see the minutes from the January Meeting for Business) and addresses the possible laying down of Friends Journal.
  • October 2009 - The cabinets are in, the floor installed, and construction materials cleaned up.  See how it looks.
  • September 2009 - The kitchen cabinets arrived and have been installed.  See our slideshow of final installation on September 24, 2009.
  • August 2009 - A farewell picnic was held in Pat Pingel’s honor at the Maidencreek Meetinghouse on August 23, 2009.  See slide show 1 (thanks Heather), slide show 2 (thanks Pat & Tom), and slide show 3 (thanks Jim).
  • August 2009 - During July and August, work on the new kitchen progressed.  See some pictures of the project.
