We Can Do It Days are a PYM tradition back by popular demand. They offer support to monthly meetings through workshops, information, a children's program and fellowship.
Quaker Quest's focus for this We Can Do It Day is on Spiritual Hospitality.
Seekers who visit our Meetings are looking for a variety of things in their spiritual home including a warm welcome, deep worship, and religious education for kids and adults.
Is your meeting ready to receive visitors?
The Quaker Quest Working Group invites Friends from all monthly meetings and particularly those serving on committees supporting Children's and Adult Religious Education, Outreach, and Communications.
We Can Do It Day will feature:
- A panel from monthly meetings who have given a lot of energy to nurturing their capacity for Spiritual Hospitality and caring for visitors and seekers using the Quaker Quest Program
- Three rounds of interactive, skills-focused workshops facilitated by Friends who bring insight and experience to Spiritual Hospitality. Scroll down for workshop descriptions.
- Special program on Spiritual Hospitality for school-age Friends, plus childcare for Little Friends.
- A participatory sneak-peak into a Quaker Quest event.
- Lunch!
