The Beatitudes:
Are They Present in Our Lives Today?
    Saturday, May 21, 2011 - 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Middletown Friends Meeting
435 N. Middletown Road (Rte. 352)
 Lima, Pennsylvania

We are often so busy that we lose track of what is most important in our lives. The Sermon on the Mount is a call from Jesus to straighten out our priorities and put God first. As he preached to the crowd, Jesus laid a foundation for what we now call the Beatitudes.

The Beatitudes continue the challenges of the Hebrew prophets, “But what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

Think of an experience you have had in your life that aligns with a Beatitude. Bring it with you to share and join us as we search for what the Beatitudes say to us today. This workshop will include a panel presentation, small group sessions, large group sharing and worship. Panelists include Doug Gwyn, Mary Frances Moehlman, and Martin Kelley.
