Policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Notice

At Meeting for Business in first month, 2005, Friends approved delaying implementation of the policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Prevention until that time that it receives clarification of new Guide One guidelines for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Here is the minute:

Pat Daly also reported for the Religious Education Committee. After we had approved our Meeting policy on sexual abuse prevention, she spoke to Helen Fields, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting staff. PYM is negotiating with Guide One Insurance to scale back the requirements. The religious education committee is asking to put implementation of our policy on hold until we’ve heard the results of negotiations and the final requirements of the insurance company. Meeting approved taking our policy off the website for the time being, but the Clerk may send the policy out to other meetings upon request.
